Thames21, a charity that is putting healthy rivers at the heart of community life, has been working with volunteers to clean-up the Isle of Dogs foreshore since 2001. Back then, the foreshore was covered in a blanket of plastic bag litter and ever since thousands of volunteers have been involved in cleaning up this section of the Thames.
